January 28, 2007 Sequel is also up. Don't miss it! This is not a trick that was taught to Nora. She began sitting at the piano at about one-year-old. She's four now. She plays only when the mood strikes her, which is usually several time a times a day for short periods.

Nora's brother Rennie stars in this adorable short film about a piano-tuning cat.
I was actually just starting to film Nora when Rennie jumped up on the piano and started to crawl inside, which is something that Betsy has expressly forbidden. Well, Betsy wasn't there and the camera was rolling so, for the sake of art, I let him proceed.

Nora's playing has become even more frequent and has evolved, as one can tell from viewing these new clips of solo as well as duet playing. Her second favorite thing to do is to pose for photographs, as evidenced by these images I've had the pleasure to have taken over the last three and a half years. Most are of Nora at the piano; some are just of her doing the things one expects a cat to do.
The music was composed and performed specifically for this video by my wife, E. A. Alexander - otherwise known as Betsy.
