I'm a new Poodle owner. Being owned is new to Fifi. I got her from a breeder.

Fifi is 8 years old. She was on her second breeder when I got her, earlier this year. I went to them, and asked them if they had an older, "used" dog that they no longer had any purpose for, preferably one that was housebroken, and got her for $125.00, which, for a Poodle, is a good price. The story was she got pregnant once with the second breeder, had to have a C-section, and never not pregnant again. Of course, I had her spayed. As I am not well, and wear oxygen, I was looking for an "older" dog, because I no longer could keep up with a young puppy. She's on her SECOND haircut (both by me), and I'm learning, but she looks a lot better this time, although I still have her buzzed very short.

Hi Robert.

Welcome to the forum :) Fifi is so cute :) You obviously love her as I can see form your posts in PL list :)

It is so nice to have to have you here :D Things are slow but we opened the forum, so *they shall come*

Would you like me to create a gallery for you in the photo section below? Email photos wil eventually be cleaned out, but the photo gallery ones are permanent unless you delete them yourself or leave the forum....

If you do put them in a gallery, and leave it open to the public, like I do with mine, you can then send the link in an email and to anyone and it will bring them right to your page in the gallery.

They have to be 300 x 200 , but I can crop and size them for you if you like.

I think I remember you saying something about not having any others and you don't have your camera anymore.

If yo go to my photos of Lil, you can see how they would look as to size and I may be able to lighten them a bit also for you :)

Then later you can edit it and add text or smilies or what ever you like :)

Just let me know ;) I am happy to do it for you:)

Pam

Right. I gave my little cheap (Dollar General Panasonic) digital camera to a friend (grandmother) who needed it more than I did and was missing out on getting any digital pics of her grandchildren (and she couldn't afford a digital camera at all, and right then I didn't have Fifi, even).

The pic of me I cropped, and was with that camera. Fifi's pics were with her Aunt Pam's camera, which is just 5 houses down the road, around the corner, but half the time Fifi's Aunt Pam forgets to charge it! Or forgets where it is. Same difference.

Still, I think when Fifi gets her first real haircut, and or done up for Christmas, which ever comes first, we'll get some fresh pics for you then.

So she's 8 years young. lol. Fifi looks like one of my dogs "Snowy" when she is groomed and not rolling in the mud that is. lol. Yes that is a good price for a poodle. when I was a little tuk of 12 my first dog that I bought was a poo. Breeder stated he was going to be a miniature but he ended up being a perfect 9 inch box toy! Got him for only $75 of course being young I cried when she told me he was going for (back then) $125. So she dropped the price because I only had $75 not knowing that my father would have paid the difference. He actually lived til he was 16 years old too.

Good for you looking for an older pup. Many people only want a young puppy.

Snowy was getting groomed by a groomer and all was great for a while then she didn't want to go any more and I now have issues cutting her. Got to do sections only or she fights too much. Especially around her paws. But she is slowly in her 14 years coming down just a bit. Hopefully I will be able to cut all four paws on one day instead of four different times. lol. But I'm not a groomer so she wouldn't be cut like many.

What a nice thing for you to do Robert :) You are a thoughtful person :)

The photo of you is fine and the one of Fifi with someone holding her collar is clear, but just a too large for the gallery. The first one is too large also. I want to make sure that everyone who joins, including you, can have a enough space for a decent amount of photos to share, so that is why I am going to limit the size. That way we do not have to limit the amount of photos one can have in thier gallery and we also don't want your photos to disapear when the photo bot cleans photos out of old posts!

I will create a gallery for you. What name would you like on it? It can be called anything you like. And do you want all me to put all three photos in it? And may I size the two larger ones? After, you can go in an write anything you want in there about your photos, and even add photos to it, or create a new page too:)

Now you have me looking forward to seeing more photos later on  ::::hugs:::: to you and your little Fifi !
