Hello ,

Thank you for your interest in Lets Talk Pet Foods Forum.

I am sorry to tell you that I am in the process of closing the forum due to lack of communication by members and the financial upkeep required on my part.

I recommend that you visit and perhaps consider subscribing to the newsletters on Susan Thixton's blog , The Truth about Pet Foods. http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/

I am turning over all my information to Susan to add to her informative site.

Has anyone tried Pedipaws yet? http://www.pedipaws.com/ They look fantastic and a much better solution then the last ones that came out with the laser, which I did not like and did not purchase.

Someone on the Toy List asked if anyone had used them yet, so I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has and then I can let them know ~

So far word on the "street" is that it is not as good of a product as the original Peticure. Makes sense as I purchased the shedender(a furminator knock off) made by the same people as Pedipaws and was not impressed. The furminator tool is better. You get what you pay for I suppose *shrug*.
One thing about the Pedipaw, so I read is that it only has one hole for the nail to go into, as opposed to the Pedicure which has different size holes for different sized nails(all on same cap). Also the Pedicure sells just the top/cap for those that already own a dremel.. the site states which dremels it will fit. I dont believe the Pedipaws does that. Groomers LOVE the Pedicure cap, and place them on their dremels. I havent had the pleasure of using it yet. But the added safety of using the *Pedicure* products is worth it IMO. Less nail dust to inhale because it is caught in the cap, plus the cap keeps fingers, hair, and teeth away for the rotary grinder. I would rather save and invest in the original products if I could.

no wonder I hate this product! the nail bounces off the wheel! I have the pedi-paw! My Mother bought one for her poodle and doesn't like it, my friend with chihuahuas bought it too and doesn't like it!

Now I get it! I bought the wrong one!

I did get the furminator but bought it from ebay for $15 plus shipping.. total was under $25.. I LOVE IT! but I have huge dogs with the undercoat and it is a blessing! I would have spend the $60 for one! My daughter let me use hers and that is when I went on a search for one of my own.

Brook,
Sorry yo had that happen. I was saved because when i saw what Laura wrote (Lady Scarlett) I did not buy the pedi paws. Laura is a professional groomer, so I took her word for it and that saved me.

I have not treid the fuminator yet, but I did buy and undercoats comb/brush from Care-a-lot which seemed to work well on the cats.
