Post subject: Healing Paws - Animal-Assisted Therapy Provider
New postPosted: Wed Jul 08, 2009 12:16 am
Healing Paws’ mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals in health care facilities. Believing that health issues are spirit-based, we strive to heal the whole person from a Judeo-Christian perspective. Our therapy dogs serve as tools in this process. We approach mental and physical illness by working in concert with the various medical disciplines to motivate individuals in their therapy, bridge communication gaps with the medical staff, and relieve stress for everyone.

One of our goals in this process is to promote the human-animal bond through the development of animal-assisted activity and therapy (AAA/T) programs in today's health-care settings and to raise awareness of AAA/T through public education.
