A deer that became caught in electric fencing has been released by wildlife rescuers in Sussex.
Police called East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service after a walker saw the deer near Robertsbridge, spokesman Trevor Weeks said.

He said the deer, which was caught by its antlers, was becoming more tangled in the fence the more it struggled. The electric fence was not live.

I was just reading this article and was just thinking how terrible this could have been. This also made me think of those electric fences for the yards. Not something I believe in. But that's another issue.

I'm so glad that there was somebody that came by when this happen because even if the fence wasn't on the poor thing would surely injured itself. And who knows how long the poor thing would have been there. Oh how sad that would be. Yes I know farmers use this but I was just thinking if there wasn't something else that could be used.
